Kent County Council Highways and Transportation accepted the applicant’s assessment of the impacts on traffic and congestion in Faversham town centre, at the Brenley Corner junction and beyond. However, there was little assessment of the effects on the local roads, notably Priory Row, which is already frequently congested, particularly during opening and closing times of the Davington Primary School. The Faversham Neighbourhood plan lists the Western Link/Bysing Wood Road as a junction where there is a high risk of even modest increases in traffic having a severe impact. 

Although Section 106 requirements stipulate the issue of a Sustainable Transport Voucher of £350 per dwelling, the development is likely to result in at the very least an additional 250 cars on local roads and is also likely to be car dependent, as is the case of the adjacent Faversham Lakes development.
